Important Information
Northern United Place (NUP) Residences are conveniently located in the Northern United Place (NUP) building which is the same building as the Aurora College Yellowknife / North Slave Campus. NUP has 40 units. NUP residences offer both single and family residential units. All units are enclosed private units with kitchen and washroom(s).
The NUP Residence is located in the heart of downtown Yellowknife. You are only blocks away from the grocery stores, shopping areas, public library, post office, movie theatre, banks, restaurants, and many special events. A bus stop is located right across the street which will bring you to all the other shopping areas within minutes.
The City of Yellowknife offers a bus service which runs throughout the day. You can purchase a discounted bus pass through Aurora College. You can either pick up a schedule from City Hall or at their website: www.city.yellowknife.nt.ca
There are a variety of recreation opportunities in Yellowknife. For more information, please contact the Residence Life Officer or Student Life and Wellness Coordinator.
NUP residences offer both single and family residence units. All units are enclosed private units with kitchen and washroom(s).
Residents are responsible for installing their own internet, cable, and telephone.
Each unit has a personal mailbox located on the first floor on the NUP building. Contact NUP management for your mailbox upon arrival.
The units do not have washers and dryers. There are coin operated washers and dryers on the 6th Floor of NUP Building. The cost is $2.00 per load per machine.
You can pre-arrange a parking stall by calling the Residence Life Officer at 1-866-291-4866 or (867) 920-3170 or by emailing ResidenceYK@auroracollege.nt.ca. In addition, street level parking and meter feed spots are available near the College.
Additional Information
Each unit is supplied with a bed(s), table and chairs, and a sofa and/or loveseat (depending on size of unit).
Aurora College does not supply household items. You need to bring your own linens, pots/kitchen dishes, shower curtain, telephone, etc.
