Course description:

This course will explain the concepts and principles that are necessary to make informed decisions on basic personal financial matters. The increasing complexity of managing personal finance has made it an essential area of study. The course will address consumer credit, consumer loans, interest, vendor credit, credit reporting, debt collection, mortgages, personal spending and saving, investment vehicles, wills and the succession of property, and personal income taxes and tax laws in Canada.
