Course number: ELCC 0211

Course length: 112 hrs

Course description:

This course will build on practice experience gained in previous field placements to support students in broadening and deepening their integration of theory with professional practice in early learning programs. A special focus will be placed on how to guide children through the day with minimal support from their on-site supervisor as they plan, implement and evaluate curriculum that facilitates learning. Students will also expand their professional capacities outside of the classroom learning environment to include the child’s home, community and culture. A special focus will be placed on the planning and implementation of programs that promote Indigenous culture, language, and traditions, including building relationships, providing information, and collaborating with parents/guardians/extended family members and community stakeholders.
