SLR Consulting Bursary For 2nd Year Students

This bursary is available to students who are enrolled in the 2nd year of the Environment Natural Resource Technology Program. Applicants must be residents of the Northwest Territories. First Nations, Inuit or Metis students will be given priority. Preference will be given to applicants who have achieved a minimum overall average of 70% in their first year of the program. Applicants who can clearly demonstrate their commitment to the field of Environmental and Natural Resource through involvement in related volunteer and/or paid work and/or hobbies are also preferred.

Applicants must submit:

  • a 150-250 word letter of interest describing why you have chosen the field of Environment and Natural Resources Technology as your area of study, your past or current involvement in this field and what you have done to demonstrate your commitment to this area
  • where possible, a reference letter from an employer (paid or voluntary), instructor, or trainer
  • a completed application form
  • a transcript showing completion of 1st year ENRTP

Stantec Environment and Natural Resources Technology Scholarship

Stantec has established a scholarship for students attending the Environment and Natural Resources Technology Program at Aurora College.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • The applicant must be enrolled fulltime in the Environment and Natural Resources Technology Program
  • The applicant must demonstrate the ability to provide leadership or academic excellence through either a GPA of 3.0 (70% or higher) in your most recent year of College, or a letter of reference from your employer addressing your ability to provide leadership in your area of study

Awards will be determined jointly by Stantec and Aurora College.

Diavik Diamond Mines (2012) Inc. Scholarship for Aurora College Students

“Diavik Diamond Mine (2012) Inc.” has established four $1,000 scholarships for NWT and/or West Kitikmeot students attending Aurora College.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant must be a resident of the NWT or West Kitikmeot (must a have lived in the NWT or West Kitikmeot for at least one year prior to attending Aurora College)
  • The applicant must be enrolled in a Program that is of two year duration or longer at Aurora College but may apply in any year
  • Priority will be given to students enrolled in the Environment and Natural Resources Technology Program
  • The applicant must be registered as a fulltime student (generally a minimum of 3 courses per semester unless otherwise indicated in the program outline)
  • The applicant must have maintained/achieved academic or scholastic average of 70% in the previous year or last 12 months (may include High School)
  • The applicant must not be eligible for a Participation Agreement Scholarship.

Students who are in receipt of a Partnership Agreement (PA) Scholarship are ineligible
Awards will be determined jointly by DDMI and Aurora College.
