Research Grant Writing – Research Cash
Research CA$H (Capacity, Access, and Strength Here) is an online grant-writing workshop presented in collaboration between Aurora Research Institute and Hotıì ts’eeda: NWT SPOR SUPPORT unit. This workshop is presented in phases that will guide participants through the development of a high quality, submission-ready research funding proposal to one of the Tri-Council agencies (SSHRC, CIHR, and NSERC). Our purpose is to build Northern research capacity and increase access to federal research funding programs for NWT researchers and communities.
Mental Health First Aid – More Feet on the ground
This site contains resources designed to support mental health at post-secondary institutions and includes a course to help prepare you to support students who may be living with mental health concerns. The course takes approximately 25 minutes and is free, although you do need to register to complete it and obtain your certificate
The resource was developed by the Council of Ontario Universities, Brock University, and the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (funded by the Ontario Government).

Certificate in Adult Education (CAED)
The CAED program was redesigned in 2021-22 to make it possible to complete the program in 18 months.
Include program goals once they are developed
The Certificate consists of 6 courses:
- Elements of Instruction (includes the ISW as a course component)
- Teaching and Learning at a Distance
- Course Design and Assessment
- Adult Learning Theory
- Applied Education in a Northern Context
- Capstone Course
Courses are typically offered by distance in the evenings (with the exception of the ISW portion of Elements of Instruction)
CAED is open to Aurora College staff and instructors as well as anyone from outside the institution.
Transfer credits and PLAR will be considered following Aurora College policies and CAED procedures
