Strategic Plan

In 2021 the CLTI staff engaged in a strategic planning exercise that was revisited in May 2022 and aligned to the AC strategic plan.

Academic and Research Excellence Goals #1 & #2

Facilitate Pedagogical Excellence

Strategies:

1. Develop and improve instructional skills utilizing innovation, research, and scholarship

2. Assist instructors to develop strategies for collecting and interpreting feedback to improve their teaching.

Promote and Support Continuous Quality Improvement

Strategies:

1. Guide CQI through oversight of curriculum development, course design, and program review

2. Lead in creating communities of reflective practice

3. Deliver workshops, learning materials, and information on various teaching and learning theories

4. Provide exchange of ideas through teaching, mentorship, and promotion

Organizational Effectiveness Goal #3

Cultivate a Learning Organization

Strategies:

1. Facilitate faculty and staff development training

2. Build, disseminate, and monitor the program development framework.

3. Support EDI training

4. Capture, store and disseminate resources

5. Provide training in cultural sensitivity and relational practice

6. Work on developing and improving customer service

7. Increase capacity in the CLTI as required

Learning Centered Goal #4

Champion Supports that Honor Learner Self-Determination

Strategies:

1. Educate faculty and staff to deliver quality student educational experiences

2. Promote the effective and equitable use of learning technologies

3. Support alternative hybrid and blended teaching and delivery methods to enhance student access and learning

4. Provide support for faculty and staff to incorporate innovations and current research in humanizing pedagogies and self-directed learning into their practice

Establish the CTL as the Hub for Innovation & Professional Development

Strategies:

1. Nurture long-term and sustainable relationships across all college departments and schools

2. Provide space and opportunity for connections

3. Develop external networking and connections
