This full-day session looks at purchases and accounts payable for a for-profit or non-profit business. Students will gain a thorough understanding of how expenses are tracked each year, the difference between a capital asset and an expense and what entries are needed when using accounts payable vs. cash transactions. In addition to learning about the day to day expense transactions they need to enter, they will also learn how to track budgets vs. actuals, and about common year-end transactions including accrued amounts and write-offs.
