1. DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTEST:
‘My Aurora College’ Visual Arts Contest is designed to give students the
opportunity to submit videos and posters about Aurora College of their
own creation. The Prizes will be awarded to the students who submit
their work and get the most votes via the ‘Aurora College Visual Arts
Contest’ link on the Aurora College website. Online voting will be open to the public at 8:00AM on February 13, 2012, and ends at 3:00PM on February 17, 2012.
2. ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open only to active
full-time or part-time students currently enrolled in one of the 26
Aurora College campuses and learning centres.
3. HOW TO ENTER
: Submissions will be accepted on
January 13, 2012 to 4:00PM on February 10, 2012. Voting begins on the first day of 'Aurora College Week' at 8:00AM on February 13, 2012, and ends the last day of ‘Aurora College Week’ on
February 17, 2012 at 3:00PM.
Submissions may include a YouTube video URL, a poster, or a photo collage.
Please include your full name, valid myaurora email address, name the program you are taking and a daytime telephone
number. If it is a group submission, one member of the group must be
designated as the Primary Entrant. The Primary Entrant is required to
list his/her information in the submission. For YouTube video submissions, please ensure that you have selected the setting (in YouTube) for "Yes, external sites may embed and play this video."

NOTE: Submissions will be posted on the website as they are received and in the order that they are received.
4. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
: Each Submission must also comply with the following:
a. Each Submission must be 1-3 minutes for video (submissions that exceed 3 minutes will not be considered), or a poster, or a photo collage.
b. Entrant will be required to enter his/her full name, valid email address and daytime telephone number.
c. Each Submission will be tied to one Entrant. In the event that a
group of students (more than one) work together on a submission, the
submission will be entered under the name of a Primary Entrant. In the
event that a Submission created by a group (and submitted by a Primary
Entrant) is declared the winner in accordance with these Official Rules,
the Prize will be awarded to the Primary Entrant and it will be the
responsibility of the Primary Entrant to distribute the prize.
e. Only one prize will be given for each of First, Second, and Third place in each category.
f. The Submission must be your own original work, created solely by you;
must not have been previously published, released or distributed in any
form; must not have won any award; and must not infringe the copyright,
trademark, privacy, publicity, or other personal or proprietary rights
of any person or entity.
g. If any persons appear or are referred to in the Submission, you are
solely responsible for obtaining consent, prior to submitting your video

h. Submissions that are lewd, obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic,
disparaging, defamatory,libellous, or Submissions that otherwise contain
inappropriate content or objectionable material may be disqualified at
Aurora College’s discretion.
i. Submissions can be serious or humorous, but should be thoughtful,
creative and original. Submissions must be submitted during the Contest
5. FINALISTS SELECTION
: Winners will be chosen based on the
total amount of votes received per submission. Contestants found
manipulating the voting system in any way will be disqualified.

b. One second prize of $500.00
c. One third prize of $250.00

c. One third prize of $100.00
