Emphasis will be on thenarratives detailing the historical situations of First Nations and Metispeoples of Western Canada. This course is designed to demonstrate and analyzethe development of these Aboriginal societies culturally, politically,economically and socially beginning in the late nineteenth century until themid-twentieth century.
