Under the Arbitration Act of some provinces and territories, an Arbitrator may, with the consent of the parties, use mediation techniques to help the parties come to a resolution. This course will develop an understanding of each process, when to use them and the effect of each on the parties, including the benefits and drawbacks.  Arbitrators learn about mediation and mediators learn about arbitration as inter-related and complimentary processes.
