Many factors influence how we make decisions on a daily basis. This course, the 4th in Momentum’s EQ-i 2.0 series, explores the direct correlation between our emotional intelligence and our decision making.
We will focus on the following three subsets of Decision Making:
- Problem Solving
- The ability to find solutions to problems in situations where emotions are involved. Problem solving includes the ability to understand how emotions impact decision making.
- Reality Testing
- The capacity to remain objective by seeing things as they really are. This capacity involves recognizing when emotions or personal bias can cause one to be less objective.
- Impulse Control
- The ability to resist or delay an impulse, drive or temptation to act and involves avoiding rash behaviours and decision making.
Similar to the other workshops in this series, participants will be encouraged to take stock of how each of the three Decision Making sub-sets are occurring in their lives and through the facilitator’s guidance and support, to discover opportunities to continue to explore and evaluate these areas.
