Frequently Asked Question - Residence

1.  Q: Can I stay in residence now while classes are cancelled?
A: Residence and student housing will stay open and operational at this time.  However if you are able to return home, we would encourage you do so – unless you have just returned from outside the NWT – then you should follow the rules set out by the Chief Public Health Officer.

3.  Q: I am in residence. What happens if I have to self-isolate? - Will anyone check on me? - How will I get food and supplies? - Can I go back to my home community to finish my self-isolation or do I have to stay at my residence on campus? - How do I self-isolate in a shared residence?
A:

You have the call numbers for your residence staff, continue to use them.

Anyone returning to the NWT must self-isolate for 14 days. If you are self-isolating you should stay where you are until the time frame is over and then you can plan to return to your home community if you want.  Follow the rules set out by the Chief Public Health Officer.

If you require self-isolation, please let your residence staff know.
